Internship R&D Engineer (m/w/d) – 80/100 % (6-9 months)

 

We are looking for.

As an Internship R&D Engineer, you will have the unique opportunity to work on a challenging project to drive innovation at SFC KOENIG, where you can get experience in the Automotive and Hydraulics Industry and prepare yourself for a successful career. In these 6-9 months program, you will have the opportunity to work on a multi-disciplinary and cross-market project within our Engineering Team, based in Dietikon, Switzerland. You will work together with our Principal R&D Engineer, which will supervise your work and will support you through the project.

 

Content of the Internship

  • Your main focus will be to support our Principal R&D Engineer on a key strategic innovation project.
  • In relation to that, you will work on topics like: sensors, especially MEMS sensors (temperature, pressure, acceleration, position, CO2, …), combination and interaction of electrical and mechanical systems, Finite Element Analysis (FEA), electric and thermal simulations.
  • Getting to know our business: understand our products, their application, the market and the innovative ideas that can have a potential breakthrough in the next generation E-mobility.
Requirement

We are looking for a person who has

  • Master degree (or is in the course of a Master program) in Electrical engineering, Mechatronics engineering, or similar.
  • Knowledge of analog and digital electronics, PCB design software, wire-based and wireless communication protocols at variable sampling rates, signal processing and noise reduction.
  • Nice to have: basic knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and thermal simulations.
  • Willing to work with combined electronic and mechanical systems and to get hardware and software skills in the fields of sensing and mechatronics.
  • A detail-oriented working attitude.
  • Strong communicative, conceptual and analytical skills.
  • Hands on mentality and perseverance.
  • Fluent in English and German.
