We are seeking a versatile


Senior Research Engineer / Scientist


working full time as a member of our Swiss Engineering team in Mägenwil, scientifically supporting the development of WiTricity's wireless power systems and products with a focus on ancillary systems used for safety and enhanced user experience.


The core duties and responsibilities of the position are as follows:


    • Analyses of complex problems and providing solutions in ongoing R&D, product development, and customer support activities
    • Provide approaches and concepts for advanced next generation systems
    • Proving concepts by theoretical studies, simulations, and lab experiments
    • Perform technology evaluations
    • Conduct electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) assessments
    • Lead scientific investigations and lab experiments
    • Elaborate and detail on requirement specifications
    • Generate new IPR, support patenting work and patent prosecution
    • Support of standardization and regulatory committee work



    • PhD in Electrical Engineering
    • 5+ years of working experience in either academia, industry, or industry-facing research roles
    • Deep theoretical and practical understanding of electromagnetic fields and electrical engineering
    • Profound analytical, problem-solving, and mathematical skills
    • Proficient in measuring techniques (e.g., for EMC assessments)
    • Proficient in passive and analog circuit design (low and high frequency)
    • Understanding of distributed network theory (transmission line) and microwave techniques
    • Basic understanding of analog and digital signal processing
    • Basic knowledge in patenting
    • Ability to work as part of a global team in a fast-paced environment
    • Ability to multi-task and independently manage the requirements of several projects in parallel
    • Solid written and verbal communication skills in English and German.
    • Ability to present, translate, and communicate complex technical content to general audience

    • Electromagnetic FEM simulation (e.g., COMSOL, MAXWELL)
    • Circuit simulation tools (e.g., SPICE, Microwave Office)
    • Mathematical tools (e.g., Matlab, Mathematica)
    • Understanding of wireless power and sensor technologies
    • Able to translate
